If you live in Florida one player on your kid's baseball team is getting high. Two or three in his class are probably high every day.
If your kids are already in college they are surrounded by other kids who are taking some kind of drug on a regular basis. And many think nothing of it.
If they have graduated and are at work, one out of every five in their work environment is on drugs.
What are they using to get high?
Alcohol
Alcohol is the most popular drug. More than half the students in Florida report lifetime use!
Alcohol detox may be necessary if you are binge drinker or a heavy drinker. If you drink everyday or regularly drink more the 5 drinks in a 2 hour period, alcohol detox will be your first step to recovery.
If you or a family member want to stop drinking and need medical help in doing so, please call Drug Rehab Referral so we can help you find a safe alcohol detox program.

Marijuana and Inhalants
You probably don't think that your 13 or 14 year old is getting high. Even if it has crossed your mind, sniffing glue or nail polish fumes is not likely to be at the top of your list. But inhalant abuse is a growing epidemic and if you're raising a family in Florida, you need to be aware of how prevalent it has become.
It's a little disheartening, I know. Ten years ago you spent a weekend child proofing every cabinet in the house that had some form of cleaner or chemical in it just so your child wouldn't accidentally poison himself. Today, he or she may be toting those same paint thinners and aerosols you worked so hard to lock up in their back pack.
Kids found out that inhalants produce a rapid high that resembles alcohol. What they don't know is that it can kill them within minutes of sniffing it and that it can happen the first time they try it. They don't realize that continual exposure can damage the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. Additionally, kids who use inhalants tend to use illicit drugs later in life.
It turns out that 60 percent of 8th, 10th, and 12th graders don't think there is a great risk associated with inhalant use. In fact, more kids perceive smoking to be a greater risk.
The truth is that kids are curious and it's all too easy for them to fall prey to peer-pressure. Friends who are drinking, smoking dope or sniffing glue to get high aren't going to tell them it can kill them. Sit down with your kids and educate them on the dangers.
If you live in Florida the odds that your kids, family members, friends and neighbors are caught in the grip of drug abuse and dependency is very high.
Don't let it ruin your lives - get help today. Call one of our Drug Rehab Counselors today toll free at 1-877-211-7428.

If you have been taking them longer than two weeks and have been physically unable to stop them, a medical drug detox program or a prescription drug detox program may be the step you need.
