Crystal Meth Finds it Way into Hawaii's Paradise
Peter Boylan, of The Honolulu Advisor newspaper, reported that over
twelve people were arrested on four different islands and in California in
an interstate drug bust. In short, the arrests were made because the
mentioned were smuggling in crystal meth into Hawaii from California by
mail.
Furthermore, on June 6, seven other people were arrested
on O'ahu and in Vegas in a dealing that shipped more that $350,000
worth of crystal meth from Vegas into Honolulu.
If tourists or
citizens of any of the islands believe that Hawaii is just a tropical
island paradise; the truth is that drugs are rampant on the islands. So
much so that last month 8% OF ALL THE HAWAIIAN POPULATION USED ILLICIT
DRUGS. This means that over 85,000 PEOPLE used drugs in the past month
LAST YEAR, OVER 27,000 HAWAIIANS ABUSED OR DEPENDED UPON DRUGS.
Considering that abusing or depending upon any drug is fatal
and possibly life-risking, you at once see the magnitude of the problem.
Avoid that regret by DOING SOMETHING NOW. Your son's, parent's,
brother's or sister's life could honestly be saved because of what
you do. Don't give up hope. There are plenty of drug rehab counselors that can aid you
in your endeavor to get the affected one off drugs.
There are
too many stories of parents wishing they had done something sooner. Heed
this advice, and DO SOMETHING NOW.
